my dreams are in the woods

i took these photos for a researcher from sweden. during the 1950s the coloured community in our neighbourhood was forced to leave their homes by the apartheid government. now the land is overgrown and unrecognizable. it's where i grew up. with the land claims commission, the land has been given back to the residents of Protea Village and in the next few years it will probably be completely developed and the woods will be gone. I'm not sure what to feel about this. But here are the pictures.
long live dreams i guess.

Ah, somewhere between the opening of Solaris and the end of the world are these.
